Memorial Day isn’t just a long weekend—it’s a sacred moment to pause, reflect, and honor those who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is the foundation for every freedom we enjoy, including the one that means the most to me: the ability to build a life, a family, and a sense of home.
As a former military spouse, I've seen firsthand the weight of service. I’ve watched families say goodbye at airports, held hands through uncertainty, and experienced the quiet ache of waiting. I’ve also seen the beauty in homecomings—the embrace at the door, the laughter echoing through a house that’s been too quiet, and the incredible sense of relief that only a safe return can bring.
That’s why “home” means so much to me.
Home isn’t just walls and square footage. It’s where we tuck our children in at night, share meals that turn into memories, and feel safe enough to dream again. It’s where healing happens after long absences, where laughter fills the kitchen, and where our stories—joyful, messy, real—are written.
This Memorial Day, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the men and women who never made it back home, and to the families who live with that sacrifice every single day. Because of them, we have the privilege of peace.
And to those navigating new chapters—relocations, deployments, or simply searching for a place to truly belong—know that I don’t just sell houses. I help people find their footing, plant roots, and create spaces where life can unfold with meaning.
🏡 Here’s to honoring the fallen by cherishing what they fought to protect. May we never take home—or freedom—for granted.
